  1. C word? Still think you are burying bodies under the slabs you are laying. But the backing looks brilliant.

  12. Does it end in a "t"?? I love spray basting. Whenever I put pins in things, it could be just ONE stinking pin, I will unavoidably prick myself! Love this quilt, the colours are delicious!

  13. I thought perhaps it was Christmas, but no, curtains make more sense. Is this the back of a quilt? Commenters seem to think so but I didn't see mention in the post?

  14. Oh I've started basting ready for a pillowcase binding today. I had to piece my backing and my wadding unexpectedly but as it's pillowcase I can't spray baste or it will make the front sticky :( I bloody hate basting, it always goes wrong and as this is a competition quilt I'm going to have to be stupidly thorough. And then once it's turned inside out I'll have to pin the whole damn thing again just to make sure there's no shifting. Woe. But no binding to sew.

  16. Curtains?! I share that dread, I'm ashamed ( secretly defiantly proud?!) to admit i have still pinned hems on curtains hidden behind my sofa 2 years on! People think because you love sewing you must love all sewing! I draw the line at curtains.....although patchwork curtains maybe.......!?
