Have You Seen My Etchings?

This is the EPP I started to prepare last week at Susan's, and the basic bit is all done after 4 hours in the car on Mothers Day to see my Mum.  The question is now, what am I going to do with it?  Cushion is the current top suggestion, and I may well go with that, but not straight away, as tomorrow I have a date with a big pile of these:
Oh joy, I despise packing, it is one of the most boring jobs ever, I might find it a little more appealing if I wasn't thinking we might be (temporarily) homeless in less than 2 weeks.  Oh goody, the thought of living with my parents (even if it is only for a few weeks), is not filling me with enthusiasm, they're lovely, but I'm a grumpy cow who likes her own space!!

Well, it's bedtime, and tomorrow, I begin the job of taming the clutter monster, and throwing all of our crap possessions into boxes.

  1. I hope that the box packing won't be too painful. Your EEP is lovely and I would make it into a cushion (I love making cushions). Di x

  2. Since 2001, I have lived in 8 different places so I know all about packing (and unacking!!). Wish I could help you - I love packing (but not unpacking)!!! Keep smiling!!

  3. Good luck with the packing! I have done 8 house moves in 15 years, 6 of which were international. The good thing is the lovely surprises when you get to the back of the drawers and find treasures you forgot you had, the excuse to finally throw out things you'd rather forget you ever owned, and the unpacking and finding your lovely possessions back again... (of course this includes fabrics!)

  4. Epp is gorgeous. Packing sucks. Wish I lived closer because I would come help. At least make you laugh and the chore less arduous.

  5. Love your EPP, I haven't done much of it myself but it's a great portable project. I don't envy your packing, hope your move goes well!

  6. Oh no! Packing is just so tedious isn't it? Although sometimes having a good sort out feels good afterwards. And well done for taking on your parents for a few weeks - I don't think I could manage for more than a day!

  7. Happy packing! Make sure you put your sewing machine in with the kettle, so it gets unpacked first ;-)

  10. The EPP is gorgeous, I would go for a cushion, but I'm a bit of a cushion-aholic!
Good luck with the packing! I moved back into my parents with a husband, two children and two cats. We were there for 18 months as I wouldn't move out until all our building work was done!! I don't think my parents thought they'd ever get rid of us and they still have our cats 3 years later!!

  12. How's the packing going or shouldn't I ask? Living with your parents won't be so bad I promise, anything can be done especially when you know it's only for a few weeks. Love the EPP, I would go for a cushion for your new home. :)

  13. I had to live with my grandmother for two weeks in between houses - it wasn't so bad except for no place for the dog, fish, or bunny and moving all my crap two times - once from house to storage then from storage to house. So maybe, yes, it did suck. Hopefully it will suck less for you! Good luck, missy!

  16. I'd make it into a bag flap to add some interest to a shoulder bag!

Good luck with the packing, I'd offer to help but I know it's so much easier to find stuff at the other end if you do it yourself, my next move will be to a house in Canada, I'm not moving house in the UK again.
